Portfolio of Works

Frames are an important part of a completed work, they finish the work and allow for a completed display.  They are also personal and connect the finished work with your living space.  What I choose may not go with your space, whether it be modern & sleek or traditional & ornate.  Also, smaller pieces look great on bookcases with a small table easel.

In any case, buying unframed is a great way to purchase original artwork at a lower cost.  

Plus..... I need to reduce my inventory.  We all win!!

Wildlife or domesticated, animals are kindred spirits to our own tormented souls.  Connections are made through our senses instead of the language we speak or the lifestyle we choose to live.  I paint animals because I have to, there just isn't any other way to put it.

It's okay to get dirty.  Western skies, hard work and big rewards come with purpose that goes beyond anything money can buy -- this is why I paint western subjects.  Whether the dry desert southwest or the rainy Pacific northwest, the colors sing so loud I want to paint them.

The still life is a quiet reflection of a language spoken with brush strokes, light and color.  Although the ability to identify objects seems deliberate, they are nothing but abstract shapes, lines and values used to mimic the existence of light.
